How To Take Base Measurements

Base measurements are individual measurements from four or five (four measurements for male and five measurements for female) fundamental reference points of one's body. These measurements are:

HEIGHT: Measured from head to toe;

CHEST: Measured around body above fullest part of bust (Female only);

BUST: Measured around the fullest part of bust and straight across back;

WAIST: Measured around body at natural waistline;

HIPS: Measured around body at fullest part of hips;

Before you take the Measurements:

  • Wear undergarment, or body suit made from nylon/lycra.

  • Ask someone to help you to take the measurement.

  • Use tailor measuring tape.
